‘Young people learn so much in youth work.’ Probably yes. But how to make it conscious learning? How to talk about learning with young people who relate the word to negative experiences. How to change perspectives? And… let’s talk about reflection!

  ABOUT THE TABLE TALKS

There are 7 podcasts or table talks which cover a range of topics from the four chapters of the publication.

A group of four youth work practitioners was asked to share their thoughts, feelings, experience and knowledge of youth work in these six topic areas.

Each discussion is introduced and facilitated by Paul Kloosterman, an experienced youth work trainer.

Between them they provide a lively debate, exploring the real life practice and the issues that arise related to each topic.

They have created an informative and engaging set of talks, each of about 45 minutes in length.

They can be used as a whole series, each one can stand alone, and even specific sections could be used.
